Written by singer songwriter John Robinson, Pleasure’s All Yours starts with its title track and dominos all the way through - one ear worm bumping into the next. The listener is brought on a familiar tour of skepticisms: The relentless grind of modern living, personal expectations not yet met, and an increasingly disconnected world. While Robinson seems ready to call bluff on himself and everyone else, the moving pulse and collective call in each track sustains that maybe, possibly, perhaps, we’re not all doomed just yet. This record gives head bobbers no choice but to get up, move around, and ultimately sing in unison to our communal plight all the way until the end. Then, do it all over again.
